JUNETEENTH EVENT TO TAKE PLACE IN THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS!
JEWELTEENTH MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission of Jewelteenth, STL, is to remember the hidden treasurers that African Americans deposited into the land and make up that is St. Louis, MO.

JEWELTEENTH VISION STATEMENT:

The vision of Jewelteenth, STL is to unite the African American Community residing in St. Louis City on a day of remembrance of our ancestors who paved the way for us to become who we are today and to share this history with our youth so they know the greatness which they come from.

To re-establish "The Village" that connected the community offering space to encourage the youth and one another resulting in a prosperous and economically strong Black St. Louis.

JEWELTEENTH GOALS:
#1 - To create Juneteenth activations in each of the Jewels, Inc., Branche's cities that celebrates and highlights the Black History of said land.
​
#2 - To create the Jewels, Inc., Million Mentors March the weekend of Jewelteenth. THE MMM is where Jewels, Inc., mentors gather alongside other community stakeholders in their respective cities and march in unison on behalf of the African American youth/future leaders.
​
#3 - To encourage youth to study African American history and contributions and leverage that knowledge to unify resources in the African American community to be effective and efficient to help support and raise the youth to become successful professionals and leaders.

ABOUT JEWELS, INC.
The mission of Jewels, Inc., is to provide venues where young urban girls can acquire an understanding of the technical and social skills necessary to assume leadership roles through actual practice. Hosting collaborative events within Jewels, Inc., Jewels will instill responsibility for producing community-based events centered around entertainment, education, and health awareness. Jewels, Inc., was founded on January 11, 2007, by b.Marcell Williams on the campus of Howard University. Jewels, Inc., is a national mentoring organization with branches on multiple campuses throughout the nation.

JEWELS, INC., PURPOSE STATEMENT

The purpose of Jewels, Inc., is to empower young urban girls, called Junior Jewels and TenderSTONES, as future leaders through education, training, and social activism.

As members of Jewels, Inc., we strive to be mentors who are role models, leaders, and positive agents of change for our mentees.

Juneteenth is a monumental day for the African American community around the world. Jewels have coined "Jewelteenth" as our expression of love and gratitude to our ancestors.
